SALZBURG FESTIVAL

Festival summer at the St. Peter Stiftskulinarium

In 2026, Europe’s oldest restaurant will once again become a stage for creative culinary and event highlights.

THE PLACE TO EXPERIENCE ART & CULTURE.

As Salzburg comes alive during the 2026 festival season, the St. Peter Stiftskulinarium will become a place where art, cuisine, and cultural energy converge.

Amid millennia-old walls, summery lightness meets contemporary staging. The historic arcades and the inner courtyard transform into an atmospheric stage full of light, encounters, and inspiring moments.

This summer’s centerpiece is the art installation Beyond the Fields by Parisian artist Alexis Boyer: monumental, translucent poppies create a poetic landscape between reality and imagination. This stands in an exciting dialogue with the urban signature of Salzburg artist Tamara Soma Volgger.

The result is a festival summer full of contrasts: nature and city, history and the present, tranquility and pulsating energy.

Those seeking special moments will find them here, in unique spaces, under the open sky, and in a place that has been creating space for the new time and again since 803.
